Pricing a handmade or vintage listing well means knowing exactly what Etsy keeps before you ever see a payout. This tool applies the standard US seller fees listed in Etsy's Help Center (checked September 2026), namely the listing, transaction and payment processing charges, so you can see your net revenue per sale instead of guessing. That clarity is what lets you set prices that stay competitive while still leaving real margin behind.

The math runs off your item price and the shipping you charge. From the total sale amount, meaning item price plus shipping charged, the calculator deducts a $0.20 listing fee per item, a 6.5% transaction fee, a 3% + $0.25 payment processing fee and, if you switch it on, the 15% Offsite Ads fee, leaving the payout Etsy hands you. What postage actually costs you is not an input, so subtract your label cost from that payout yourself. Etsy's Offsite Ads fee is 15% for shops that have always made less than $10,000 in any 365-day period and 12% once a shop has crossed that mark, with a cap of $100 per order; the calculator applies a flat 15% without the cap.

One detail sellers routinely miss is that payment processing applies to the entire sale, shipping and sales tax included, not just the item price. It has no sales tax input, so on a taxed order the real processing fee is 3% of the tax higher. This calculator also stops at Etsy's own fees, so your materials and labor still need to be subtracted separately before you know your true profit margin. If you sell across borders, building in a small cushion on your prices helps absorb the minor currency conversion swings that would otherwise quietly shrink your take.
